Answer: Reasons for HR fail development plans: There are many reasons for the companies to fail while making the development plans as the part of the merger or the acquisition strategies; one reason is the changes in the culture of the two companies. This cultural integration acts as the most important barrier to the success of the merger. The other reason is the changes. These changes in the companies act as the predictable outcomes of the fail merger (Dainty, 2011). The employees of the company not able to adopt such changes and leaves the organisation. The other reason is the change in the management and such challenges which are faced by the company for managing the issues related to the people. Role of HR Professionals: The HR professionals have the major role in the merger and the acquisition process. It the HR which helps the organisation to manage any challenges or the issues related to the employees of the organisation. HR helps the employees to understand their role in the new altered organisation (Siegenthaler, 2011). It is the HR which helps the employee to adapt the two different styles of the management.
